give me a reason
just one
not to let go
leave
move on
give me a reason
not to turn up my nose
and go about my business
and let you go about yours
give me one reason
why I should have to shake
when I see your name on my caller ID
one reason
I have to go over and over our conversations in my head
clinging to every inconsequential detail
instead of sleeping
one reason
that I should give you the time of day
give me one reason to care
but in reality
we both know
that reason's got nothing to do with it
