Pulling the trigger on my heart
Your twisted words
Read through my eyes
Yet they seeped down to my heart
And shattered it
Leading it into the darkness
Aimlessly looking for the light
Knowing it never will
I hear you weep
Saying you feel sorry
Even I know you just think you should feel that way
So you do
It isn’t the same pain
The one I endure
The one that keeps me late up at night in agony
The searing pain of the mighty sword
They say it is “Better to have love than lost, than to not love at all”
That’s bulls***
Without your love, I’d still be me
Not this me
I was never as silent
Never as careful
Personally I agree more with the saying “Love is like handing someone a gun, letting them point it at your heart and hoping they won’t pull the trigger”
Well at least I’m damn sure of one thing
You pulled that trigger
