Pain of Love
The pain of love is more than anything else can hurt,
The pain of love is one of the sweetest of the earth,
The pain of love is one that I wish would always stay inert,
The pain of love I try to give a big berth.
Because the pain of love is the sweetest pain of the universe,
The pain of love I tried to convert.
I was in love, and she was in love,
In our own little fantasy,
When snatched like a glove,
She ran off, as plain as can be,
Leaving me broken, shattered beyond tears,
I watched her run off while sitting in my tree.
Tears streaming down my cheeks,
Still missing your warm embrace,
Memories in my head swirl around,
I can’t get my mind off of your face.
Cherishing what I thought I would always have,
I’m perishing in my lonesome place.
Without you my life is meaningless,
This has turned into another distrustful case.
