Talk to Me
Your blue bubble eyes
Rough smile
Big red gum smell
And coconut colored skin
All elements that make you…you
And somehow every time I see you
My heart stammers and I can’t think
Every time I see you
I hold my breath when you walk pass me
Don’t’ you see me sitting in the corner on the other side of your desk?
We have Spanish together and gym class
But you choose to laugh with the captain cheerleader
Who laugh with you in a flirtatious manner
You are so naïve
But smarter than anyone I know
If you could see between the lines on your paper
Maybe you could see who really cares about you
Are you pretending to not know me purposely?
Because it is killing me
Please look at me
Just once
Please talk to me
I yearn to hear your voice
