Nothing
And so when the world comes to an end,
And everyone puts an end to their pretence,
Which dreams of yours will be left unfulfilled?
And which memories will bandage around in your little head?
And what are the words that you will say then, that were then left unsaid?
When the skies are no more blue, and there is no ground to hold us beneath our feet,
How will you find your way back home?
And what will you do, when you discover that you are alone?
There will be no stars to guide you,
No clouds to tell their own story,
No rains, to cast your own memory,
No moments to reveal your glory.
What will you do when you realise that the journey is your destination,
And the map is in shreds,
What will you do when you think of what you could have done,
Now that you are dead.
