Wedding Rings
As a little girl you never want to think about the people you love and who love you dont love eachother anymore
As they set me down to tell me the news i never really understood
If love lasts forever why has this love died?
Memories to cherish through good times and bad
We got through it
My mom gave me a necklace with two golden rings
Her and my father use to wear to symbolize the love they use to share
Now gold pretty bands I hold in my hands as memory takes its toll
shiny and new from lovers so true that use to awaken the soul
As I hold these rings they symbolize importance to me
Something Ive held onto forever
A love that died but still lives on inside of me
something i can never let go of
A gift from parents who love me so dear
Memories I will always cherish and hold near
Now we have moved on and life has changed
The past has gotten us to our future
