Sing to the Moon
In the rain, see the fire
Sit in the dark to inspire
Write feelings of all kinds
Connect with all sorts of minds
Cut the skin and want to die
Sing the words of an untold lie
Having been abused
Feeling so used
Saying those three words to hear them back
And after all that, the attack
Tears are dried up
But everything’s still screwed up
Wishing to never miss that one
Regretting all that hurtful ‘fun’
Fears are over
Kids sing, playing red-rover
The birds are chirping, singing their tune
Then night falls, and there’s the moon
Sitting alone in a room, screaming for help
Something like this has never been felt
