Words
People say things they don’t mean
Stupid things that are better left unsaid.
But once words are out there
You cannot take them back.
They stay there
Suspended in air
Causing despair.
Hurting people
In aw ay that can never be fixed.
Words are dangerous.
They slice through you
Like a knife
Making irreparable scars.
Words should be used wisely
As not to offend or hurt.
But in the heat of the moment
Anger overcomes you
And words are spat out.
Nothing you can do to reverse them
Nothing you can do to take them back.
They just float there
In the air
Doing what hurtful words do best:
Causing trouble.
