Erase
I wish you could take an eraser to the heart,
And just erase.
Erase the hurt and lost loves,
The hoping that came to nothing,
The wishing that never came true,
The loneliness that was never resolved.
Erase the feelings that were wrong,
And the ones that were right,
But didn’t work out.
You would probably have a mess.
A weird and wonderful mixture of
Eraser shavings and
Multi-faceted feelings.
We’d all feel free
And when we got sad or hurt or lonely,
We could just
Erase.
