This Town

I hate this town
where I feel bound
to familiar faces
falling down, falling frown
my routine paces
in ironic races
right back to the start;
this town, old places
on which it stands, the ground is art
reaching up to tear me apart
standing small, its crushing my heart
and hating this town, I'm back to the start
