I'd Say They're Miracles
Every girl needs those sweet nothings that make her day.
For me, it’s the simple things,
Like receiving a smile from a friend,
Eating craisins on the porch,
Strumming my guitar,
Listening to Owl City in the hot tub,
Hearing perfect words spoken by people I admire,
Singing at the top of my lungs,
Bursting into random laughter at a memory,
Meeting women who touch the moon and assure me I will, too,
Tanning in a corn field,
Chilling on my bed with my favorite girls in the world,
Jogging in the pouring rain,
Brushing my teeth,
Watching shooting stars,
Holding hands with a boy I’m falling for,
Laughing so hard I cry,
Playing the piano,
Writing my heart to the page,
Breaking a sweat,
Catching a snowflake on my tongue,
Capturing moments in time,
Getting wrapped in a hug by somebody I love,
Inhaling warm cookies and milk,
Doing things someone said I couldn’t,
Studying the crazy people in the world,
Making my friends beautiful,
Discovering something new,
Going to football games,
Remembering the happy things,
Finding myself,
Making messes,
And breathing.
These little miracles are the reasons I live,
and I don’t know if life gets better than this.
