Sweet Temperament
I never spilled such words of emotion to you,
Never spent hours along the break of the tides
Because once our time was spent, the fire died;
as a murmuring ember
We have ventured back into our separate lives;
Separate adulation as walking spews of life,
But the edge is too close to my toes,
Now that the brittle sun has found me;
With this lickerish ending, I will wait,
For another moment set in stone
Though this grave marks only the here and forever
