Millions
Today I woke up
and prayed I had a
terrible terrible
dream.
This morning I plastered
a smile, but the
tears melted it off.
Yesterday I was care-free,
I loved the life I was
living--yesterday I didn't
know.
I didn't know my mom
would wake me up at 3 a.m
and quietly whisper my
great grandpa passed away
at 2:22 a.m.
I didn't know I would
cry a million tears.
I didn't know I would hurt
like a million bullets
piercing my heart.
But now I know.
Now I am crushed.
Now I hate yesterday
because:
I.
Didn't.
Know.
