You are ahead
Never waiting
Or letting me catch up
I’m always behind you
Running to catch you but
I never do
I run as fast as I can
I endure the pain for you
But you don’t wait
You just go on and on
Ahead of us all
Ahead of me
There was a time
A time when I was on your heels
Just barley behind
But it’s changed now
Now I sprint
Just to keep you on the horizon
I like the then I hate the now
Why have you run so fast?
So fast away from me?
