Architect
We’ll build a city
Just to tear it back down.
To watch it tumble and crumble
To the ground.
Because you’re the sadist,
And I’m the enabler.
I can’t keep going in circles,
And starting over.
I’m tired of your droughts,
And then my floods.
Stop playing God with me.
Isn’t a dozen statues enough?
We’re being reckless
And destructive now.
All we’ll have left
Is a world in ruins.
If we don’t quit,
There will never be an end to it.
Our lovely cultivation
Slowly dying, bit by bit.
We built a city
Just to tear it back down.
We watched it tumble and crumble
Into the ground.
