Quiet
Love has no face,
Or even a name.
Its voice is of silence,
It's a relic from pain.
Now, I've dreamt many dreams
As all dreamers do.
I've wallowed and screamed
Until my words were untrue.
I still follow my heart
Even though it won't beat,
For regardless of words
Your promise you'll keep.
I'm finding this world is a marvelous thing;
For through every plight nothing compels me to sing.
Yet here I still sit
Caught up in the melody of you
Even as you claim my insanity grew.
When you find you're unsure
And know not what to say,
Remember that for love
It's silence you pay.
