Summer Changes All

Summer can change everything-
Even time itself.
Lives. Love.
Home. Health.
A second lasts a year.
A summer- the blink of an eye.
It changes them. You.
And I.
The days drag you in-
reeling you into a dark end.
You wouldn't return without help.
Thank God for a true friend.
Sometimes it takes tragedy
To push you to be happy
or in to the arms of the one you'll love.
Those summer nights become slightly more easy.
Change comes easy in the summer.
Things grow, and laugh, and die.
That summer changed me, and you,
And mine.
