Ripple
My reflection
In the water
Each hair
And each flaw
Shown
Just like a mirror
Hair in pigtails
Chin held up high
When I look into
The mirror of water
I see
Me, proud
To be who I am
No strand of doubt
Or uncertainty
I know who I am supposed to be
I feel as light as a feather
As heavy as a ton of bricks
As powerful as a lion
And as meek as a mouse
I reach in the water
And let my hand brush over it
Gently
A small ripple waves through the water
And my face seems broken
Shattered into little pieces.
As I turn to leave
My face repairs itself
And it is whole, once more
