Holding onto Hope
You are not something I can explain,
but you make me feel as cold as rain.
You do not know how I feel
I've never felt something so real.
Depression slices your mind
and you'll find
I cry so much,
with no luck.
I don't care what you say about me
because you cannot set me free.
You do not know of my past,
nor of my broken glass.
Depression at fifteen,
well I've still got my dreams.
I do have a touch of hope,
and I want to cope.
So, dear depression,
You've battled through and through
but here's to defeating you.
