Love in a hole
My words fell like a waterfall,
and I weathered the storm that followed,
but you provided no shelter.
Maybe I hoped you were different,
but I was blinded by a love I wanted to feel,
and for a while your deception worked.
Clouds have cleared and sun has come,
uncovering the monster you are,
you've stolen my hope and put me down a hole.
I called for you through the lonely darkness,
but you gave no answer,
did you ever care?
I can't make you feel,
I know that now,
Maybe my attempts were too much.
Your vicious ways were no help,
arrogant thoughts that you possess caused me trouble,
but my love for you is here.
Will you take it and hold it close?
Or will you toss it back?
Please...answer me.
