Paradise
i see—
ocean mile long,
but for the white foam
the sky and ocean look as one,
no horizon exists in my eyesight,
a salty smell drifts in the
warm thick humid air,
singing birds barely are made known,
sea shells drift in the set mounds of sand
where debris resides
in the mossy overturn,
the bubbles of foamy water crash
punching into the bank,
steadily moving in
to devour and erode,
capturing hoarded items in its tide
pulling them out to call its own
no mercy—
pure beauty and grace,
undisturbed—
untouchable—
power
idylls in my view.
