Drowning
Dark Sabona
Raining heavily on the earthen minds
The sky as She cries
A purple flower
Oh how they fall
Drifting lazily like
Little Boy
And
Fat Man
The rain to leukemia
Thousands upon thousands dead
Buried by a project
Buried by nature
Debris and lightening
Crashing down
On two little islands
Off the middle of nowhere
Can you hear them cry?
Hear the mourning of the dead?
Hear the rejoicing of the colonies?
Stranded in a desertous Kenya.
The beating of drums
Hiding the lost beat of thousands of hearts
Do you remember World?
Remember the day it was suddenly
Thousands of degrees in the shade?
Little girls turn to ash
Seconds after seeing it
Ashen grounds turn to silt
Growing food for hungry people.
Two nations,
Two cultures,
Two separate worlds
On one side
The same side of the World
Forever and ever
Shall they be remembered
Amen…
Amen.
