In the Stone Courtyard
If the young dancers swing
In happy rhythm,
And the quickness of their feet
Spins the autumn trees
From sharp perception
Into blurred illusion;
And if the melody
To fuel their dance
Fills them with euphoric intoxication,
around and around in happy rhythm,
Where is the proof that any world
Exists but theirs
