Battle Scars

To give to you i pay a price
A wavering heart
Breaks like ice.
Its not just you, i played a part
Reveal my battle scars.
Blind me first so i may not see
The reflection of who i used to be.
Take away my sense of sound
Your voice is what keeps me bound. Scrub away the layers of skin
Where your hands have once been.
Put up a wall, brick by brick
My mind will not be tempted by tricks.
Haunting memories overcome my life
Thoughts so thick, cant be cut with a knife.
Time heals all wounds by far
All that remains is this scar.
