Time changes
My life rearranges
But flows on
While i sleep beyond
This world i currently consume.
The morning sun wakes me
The cold brisk wind breaks me
The alarm clock screaming makes me
Get up, get ready, go.
The cold engine tries to start
As the arctic wind stops my heart
And the fog that i breathe
Forms creative works of art.
I wipe the snow off my feet
As i fall into my seat
Letting my body be consumed
By the bits of struggling heat.
The snow outside won’t fall
It doesn’t move at all
As i let myself slide gently
Listening to the engine loll.

I wrote this poem one morning while i was sitting my car waiting for the engine to warm up. I never realized before just how beautiful the silence was around me. I also never realized how the cold and the heat effected my skin.
