My Descent
Why won’t you listen?
What’s so wrong with me?
That no one will even give me a sideways glance
No one sees me
As I begin my descent
My descent into madness
Into the edges of what I can take
What it will take to bring me all the way down?
Down
Down
Down
Into the fringe of existence
Cast away and
Lost to the void of my empty spirit
Why won’t you listen?
Can I really be such a plague to your existence?
That I am treated like this by you
I hide it and
No one cares
No one sees me
No one knows I am descending
What will it take?

thanks, i would make the change on here but i don't think i can... eh-heh
This is really good! It has such a sad feel to it, and I like the words you used, they really helped contribute to the entire feel of the poem. In the eighth line, however, it might read better if it said, “What will it take to bring me all the way down”
Anyway, I really liked it. :) Do you have an account on Nanowrimo, by the way? I think I recognize your username.
