Autumn's Escape
The ground is frozen
Drops of winter
Resting on the fall
My mind is broken
A pool of honest
Bare and open if at all
Frost is coming
Gently creeping
Doesn’t wait for me
I’m scared of sunlight
Tired of sleeping
I’ve forgotten how to see
Rain is air
Cold and heartless
Thick and smoky too
If I’m not there
Will they bother
To find the will to catch you
Words seem to escape
They leave me with
He fall
I never let them
Break me
But they drive me up a wall
Cloudy breath on
A window’s glass
Candlelight lit low
If I left with
Golden leaves
Would anybody know?
