A Painting Named Happiness
The hues in the water reflect the degrees of my happiness.
Its increasing lately, you know.
I should climb the tree, wrap myself around.
Hide in the bushes—so beautiful—someone is sure to search.
It’s incredible, young artist, that you could capture the colors of my soul, the safe place imagined in my head.
I shall dip my toes in the water; completely forget my shades of sadness.
Immerse myself in the water—I’m sure,
My happiness will swallow me whole.
Regurgitate a flower, fresh-faced and wide-eyed,
Grinning—I know.
