Everything About You
I remember everything about you
How you loved to get your hair done
Every other Friday at eleven,
The way you’d send me
Five dollars on my birthday.
The way you’d smile
When ever I came to visit,
And how your friends
Would fuss over me,
Saying how big I’d gotten.
And how you’d nod
And tell them you were
Very proud of me.
I remember how bright
Your smile was,
It would light up the room.
When others saw you,
They couldn’t help but smile back.
I remember everything about you.
I miss you everyday.
I will never forget you.
