The Game of Heart-break
Everyday I see you
And I know you’re there
But whenever I turn around you vanish from my sight again.
Then there you go again
Calling me, smiling at me, using that charm of yours
Why must we play this game
Of heart-break?
The game has continued too long
And the only choice I have is to play along.
Your eyes, I feel, following me.
Maybe you should take a glance at yourself and look at what you’re doing.
A man who hurts my heart so much must be so good at this game.
You stare at me and I try to ignore meeting your eyes.
But you draw me to look at them. Cloudy blue and full of lies.
Why must we play this game of heart-breaking?
This is the game where no one will win and in the end
We’ll end up hurting each other
But if you want to play it, that’s what I can only do.
One day,
You’ll wave to someone else
You’ll notice someone else.
You’ll dazzle her and laugh with her.
You’ll gently touch her the way you did with me.
Twirling her hair and play with her fingers.
The game is over
And the winner…
Is you.
