Spring Morning
As the golden globe rose in the morning mist
The squirrel skittered across the growing lawn,
Going to gather his meals for the day.
The fresh green grass is covered
In droplets of dew that glint in the sunlight.
The pine trees are swaying with the breeze,
Filling the air with their needles.
Spring has awakened,
And it is arousing the flowers
To dance in the wind.
The birds whisper a song
Letting the earth know that spring is here,
Allowing the clouds to drift into place
Before the first person awakes.
