You cast a humble shadow
Over massive sacrifices you made.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to thank you
For the security and protection;
Always reeling people into conversation
Made me feel at ease in your home.
Any problem you faced,
You tackled head on.
I envied your patience,
And miss you tremendously now that you’re gone.
