A Delicate Balance
The whipping wind blows down the graying grass,
Making a wave big enough for a giant bass.
A blue jay chirps excitedly, and others follow in glee.
The air is polluted, so fluttering in flight, they sadly cannot see.
Hordes of timber are chopped down for places that humans stay,
In the Amazon, two thousand fall every second of the day.
A squirrel scampers up an oak,
Falls down to see his home now broke.
A ruby red cardinal brings the last piece of straw for his comfy pillow,
A minute later his home is struck down and is now a deceased willow.
A curious dolphin swims around an oil spill and follows her first instinct,
She tastes it and now, dolphins will soon be extinct.
Stopping the drip of the sink can help you save,
Lots of water and together we can make a wave.
Nature is like a huge heart,
With every bad choice it can fall apart.
I would rather keep mending the Earth back together,
Instead of leaving it broken forever
