Unheard Cries
You argue all the time, and I’m supposed to stay quiet? I’m supposed to act like nothing’s wrong? Well something is wrong. All you do is complain and argue, and I’m tired of being silenced. So I’m going to say how I feel and tell you what I think, and you’re going to listen.
I feel abandoned sometimes, when you ignore what I say.
I cry myself to sleep at night sometimes, because of your hurtful words.
I think you should listen to yourself speak first, before opening your mouth.
You should listen to what others have to say, instead of cutting them off.
And maybe someday, I will stop cutting you off.
I will open up to you, and tell you how much I love you.
But right now I can’t, because you won’t listen.
You need to listen.
