Goodbye
Goodbye.
It’s the hardest word to say,
So I close my eyes to say it,
Looking for some strength.
Goodbye,
I can barley even say,
I choke on every letter, as tears run down my face.
Goodbye,
I mean everything I say,
And when I say I love you,
You should know I really do, and this is going to make me break.
Goodbye,
I cry a year ago on this day,
As I look up in the sky, close my eyes and pray.
Goodbye,
I say, to my dad on this day,
As I leave a trail of flowers, heading towards his grave.
Goodbye.
That’s what I had to say,
And I know your somewhere better,
But I wish you could of stayed.
Hello,
I hope to say to you,
Once again, some day soon.
I hope to be with you.
Goodbye for now, I say to my dad.
But hello tomorrow,
I smile, as I grab your hand,
We are daughter like father once again.
Together forever, high up in the sky,
Looking down at life as we sing a lullaby.
Goodbye..
It’s only hard to say for a while,
But in the end, it’s all okay.
