ELEPHANT
My bones ignite, I need no shell.
Their voices boom loudly when they hide, you see:
Far too superior am I to fall under their spell.
Pathetic whimpers they wish to sell,
They thrash their claws, but they can’t touch me.
My bones ignite, I need no shell.
I rupture my soul like an anxious bell
Words like white fire pour rapidly;
Far too superior am I to fall under their spell.
And upon those words of which I dwell
I release my consciously adhesive degree:
My bones ignite! I need no shell.
Hence lack of candor, the ways in which I excel
Need no jungle-esque analogy.
My bones ignite as they release their shell,
Far too superior am I to fall under such spell.
