the concert (elegy for silence)
silence has fallen asleep in the corner, headphones on
her thin heartbeat turned to music
she drowns the world out of her head
and slowly begins to die

they throw themselves in: the sound, like oceans
pressing their ears: blocking
what she used to soothe
so in the raw sound thoughts of her beauty
