Dancer
She's a little dancer
With her little black shoes
that go tip-tap tip-tap
Jumping up as high as a bird can fly
and coming back down
as gently as a rose petal falls to the ground
Her wig as thick as a lion's mane
and as curly as a poodle's hair
With all that make-up on
you can't tell it's her
with the bright red lips
the peach pink eyes
and the long black lashes
With that big sparkly dress
it's as heavy as an elephant
and as hot as the Sarah dessert
But, it makes her stand out from everyone else
Even with all that make-up on and that big curly wig
and the big sparkly dress on
she's still that little girl you know and love
but, now she is grown up
and you need to let her go
and let her that
Irish dancer she was born to be
