Gave up
You said you’d never give up
And with just my luck
I messed up
You gave up.
You don’t know if that’s what you wanna be
If you could only see
The pain that’s lurking
Inside me
The words I read from back then
I remember when
I used to read them to make me smile
But only for a while
Because now I look at them and cry
I feel like I wanna die
She always thought I was shy
She doesn’t see the tears I cry
It hurts me to hear
You’re never near
I shed a tear
Because you gave up.
