Faded memories
A broken memory,
What used to be full of color and affable
A paramount in my memory
Little by little the memory fades in time as the years pass
As if bleach stole away their color
Almost blanch, the memories comfort is barely there
A breath of color returns
Memories come flooding back
It brings a smile back to her face
The smile quickly fades
This time the memories seem spurious
The touch of sincerity faint
As the feeling of sand in the wind against the smooth of your cheek
Dream and reality two different sights
A memory can twist itself between the two
Dream and reality
But in the end
A memory might just become
Another dream
