The sloth
Has overcome me
I cannot completely stand
I’m shamed
To say it
I cannot escape it
It seems I’ve reached the end
I once flew free
Beyond the clouds
Of inspiration
Of dreams so high
And far too wide
That I could ever conquer
I flew so high
But ‘way they fled
Sorrowed by my desperation
So I sunk
Beneath the earth
Never to return
