Chase Of The Fae
The black-blue ocean water beats upon the boulders
Upon the sand, a shard of fire smolders
Night has fell in the dark beach
A shaft of light cannot reach
Lead the way to a forgotten trail
For our ongoing quest- its of no avail
Through the forest, winding our way
We cannot keep the beasts at bay
I hope we are not led astray
A mist spreads through the evergreen trees
I am aghast, I want to flee
Alas, no I must not back out
About our safety, I really doubt
Eyes catch sights, of tiny little faeries
Beady black eyes gleaming, she carries
With her all the secrets of survival
The Fae notice our arrival
In the land they claim theirs
Off our land! The Fae declares
Us group of children run fast
Right past
Wicca pentagrams of witchcraft
Clusters of faeries poke us with shafts
They say, "Vanish, dearies, don't be daft,
Out the forest up the peak
We jitter even as we speak
Venturing through is not for the meek
I settle down in the summit point
And sit between the joint
I wish to evaporate into thin air
Because I simply cannot bear
It.
