Just Smile

when all else fails;
smile.
when the world crashes down on your shoulders;
hide your tears.
people don’t care what’s behind the smile
as long as they see nothing but a happy face.
when the curtain falls,
and the days show is done;
the smile cracks,
the flood takes over,
day breaks,
and the night closes in.
when light returns;
we rebuild our walls,
plaster on those irresistible smiles,
and fool the world.
