My Pen, My Friend MAG
I live vicariously through my books.
Through musical lyrics, bridges and hooks.
Oh how I will dread the day
When pen and paper will pass away.
Why do I need to type my rhymes when I can write them, line-by-line.
Texting and e-mail are all great and fine,
But do not do away with the pencil divine.
So when the age of technology has reached its peak,
And they no longer remember how to pick up a sheet,
You may leave me to my dim-lit den.
I'll be just fine with my paper and pen
