I Am, What I Do
they say you are what you do,
in that case:
i am the answer,
i am the question,
the misunderstood ending that came before the beginning.
i am the need,
i am the want,
the confusion of trying to understand the difference.
i am the fast,
i am the slow,
the runner that ran too fast and missed the checking point.
i am the comforter,
i am the comforted,
the exchange of love between two friends.
i am the nomad,
i am the planter,
the floating seeds trying out new soils but never finding a fit.
i am the lust,
i am the love,
the confused boy trying to separate the two.
i am the struggle,
i am the let down,
the movie of "try and fail" on repeat.
i am the loser,
i am the observer,
the desire to win but the absence of success.
