One itch at a time.
I have an itch all over.
Figuratlively,
but also literally.
I know how to take care of both,
yet I can never get around
to treating either of them.
So I let the itches sit,
and I scratch
until I'm red an peeling all over,
literally and figuratively.
Maybe one day, I'll scratch
right through my skin,
leaving only my itchy insides
to be taken care of.
Then I will find the courage to
focus on helping myself
one itch at a time.
