Lost Without You
I find myself lost in the absence of you.
The memories I shared with you are vague and now dim.
I have cut them out of my head, so now they have become way to slim.
I’m not sure why, and I don’t want to know;
Why you have left to never return home.
My friends say it’s because you lied,
But I think it’s because you’re afraid;
I understand now, why you would feel this way,
Knowing what you did to me, I feel as if I need to restart that day.
That day was a long one,
And for sure not any fun;
For you or for me.
I remember how my face grew stern,
And you tried to stand way to firm,
To explain to me what you had done.
I’m too smart to be tricked,
And now you know,
And I hope to you that you learn from your wrong.
For on that day,
My heart was a stray,
And you had decided not to stay.
Now my heart funs free,
But it is still looking to be,
In the handle of your caring plea.
