The Sad Song of Change
The Sad Song of Change
I saw it
The red covering his face
It took over his soul
The darkness.
How could this have happened?
We were such good friends
For him to beat me with a cold stone.
My soul cries for the last time
But no tears come out.
What if he had hit me?
Actually
But what he did hit home.
My heart breaks
Never to be joined
Unless he decides to come back
To the old ways.
The summer days spent
With water guns and beaches
But until that day comes
My emotions will hum
The sad song of knowing
That change can always come.
