A New Beginning

This pattern is an infinite thing;
Never ending, never slowing,
This path of mine takes me parallel to my goal,
Yet I never intersect it,
The constant strain of varying outcomes, choices, instances — it all takes me in ever growing circles that never seem to end,
I make yet another decision on my wandering road,
This unthinking choice suddenly simplifying the equation,
My hard, sharp angles straighten out;
I see, finally, the end of this road,
Or my new beginning?
