Little kids
Running free
Free of chains
Free of the truth
Bubbles blowing by
Like the troubles the kids don't see
The homeless man under the bridge
The fighting parents
The baby girl crying softly under the tree
They've been shielded
Defended
Protected
But once they learn the truth
When they realize
How they've been lied to
I wonder what they'll do
With the knowledge that they've been shielded from the truth
